Every city here has a large hotel market, and each has a specific pressure point: Orlando and Houston rates move with the convention calendar, Miami fills for Art Basel and the Boat Show, and Phoenix and Scottsdale resorts run on a winter-and-spring season.
Couples with more than 100 out-of-town guests should confirm lodging before they book a remote venue. The North Georgia mountains outside Atlanta show why: cabins sleep eight to twelve, so a 120-guest wedding means a dozen separate rentals booked by a dozen families.

Pasadena guests should stay in Pasadena or a nearby block. West Hollywood guests should not be sent to Malibu for multiple events, and Malibu guests should not be based downtown unless transportation is provided. South Beach, Brickell, Wynwood, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Key Biscayne, and Sunny Isles are not interchangeable. Coconut Grove to Miami Beach is nine miles and can take fifty minutes, so block near the venue. Brickell is the practical compromise, 15 minutes from the airport and 20 from the beach in normal traffic.

Stay in Buckhead only for a Buckhead wedding; rush-hour traffic between Buckhead and the Westside is the most common guest complaint. Houston works especially well for weddings that need large hotel blocks, banquet capacity, strong food culture, and international accessibility. The catch is distance: a venue in Katy or The Woodlands is 40 minutes from downtown in good traffic, and I-10 and the 610 Loop can double a 20-minute drive between 4 and 7 p.m. The wedding website should say exactly where to stay, why that area was chosen, and how guests will get to each event.
